If I Were President
(Si Fuera Presidente)
|
When I was a little boy I often wondered what the world would be like if I were President. I was intrigued by American history and each President's struggles and accomplishments of their time. Then one day I realized I was meant to journey down an entirely different path that didn't involve being the Commander in Chief. However, now that my 2 kids are both in school I find myself revisiting those "if I were President" thoughts because they are learning about them as they explore American history. So, to have a little fun, I decided to be creative and become each President of the United States to educate and entertain my kids in a photographic journey called: If I Were President.
|
Everyday for the next 45 days (April 3, 2017 - May 17, 2017) I am going to show my kids, if I were President (fill in the blank), this is what I would have looked like had I been (fill in the blank). I started from the beginning of Presidential history and will continue in chronological order until I have completed them all. In addition, I will include some important historical facts and information to expand their knowledge along the way.
These Presidential recreations will consist of my face (from the 8 selections below) carefully edited into the likes of the President of the day. The idea is to maintain respect for the integrity of the image and special features of the President, while artistically adding my face.
Undoubtedly my kids will laugh and laugh and probably laugh some more... but more importantly, as we discuss each President's journey, I truly hope they will gain knowledge of something (anything) about American history, geography, creativity, respect, life, death and the significant responsibility of the President of the United States.
Here is my project if I were President...
