It's very rare that I get to hear my son speak english (thank God for daycare) because my wife and I make a conscience effort to speak spanish to our son (and daughter) so that he (they) do not have to suffer learning a second language like I did. However, this morning my wife picked up her Android ZTE and taped my 2 year old son singing Doe A Deer A Female Deer. He has a bit of a way to go before American Idol or X Factor but damn... he is cute.

Thanks. I just hope that I can continue to learn at a faster pace than he learns because soon he will out speak my level of spanish and then I will be... well I guess you could imagine.

Cute! We have been/are struggling with the bi-linguality things as well. We put a lot of effort so that our son speaks Bulgarian (mainly having aupairs and relatives look after him; I am a bad linguist). At three he told me that English is more important here and to quit speaking Bulgarian to him - logic I could not argue with. Now he speaks but not very well (he is ten). still trying.

Ahhh... It's a shame relatives don't understand. It's so important to speak another language. It gives the brain a new file to add important folders to. Metaphorically speaking of course.

Beautiful photo. We don't have kids yet but having them learn more than one language is really important to us. As far as which one, we haven't decided yet. I am thinking latin and something Asian.

Thank you. I think it is so important to include language in the educational mix from the beginning.

Haha... Do you remember when you came over to translate what Mirko was saying and we both had no clue what was going on? Wow we have come a long way.

Adorable! I speak three languages and if I wanted kids I would make sure that they would speak at least two: English and Russian. It is important to maintain dual cultures in international families... in my humble opinion.

Aww. Thanks. 3? That is cool. Maybe I will take up another soon. My wife and I visit Colombia every year and Skype with her family so my son and daughter can maintain both sides.

cute, very cute! Extend all Yakezie love to him. Hey why don't you design a nice logo for your site, I noticed you offered many of us with this option.

How adorable! My son and I enjoyed watching this. My toddler said, "more, more" and have me repeat the video.
