Who Are You Jai
The most important thing to me is my family. I love them dearly. I find my passion and drive illuminated a million times over because they are in my life. Why do I hear a violin playing?
I began salsa dancing in 1998 and found an untapped passion that took me through a roller coaster of experiences. I am not going to stoop down to bragging about what I have done but if I were to brag, Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Spanish Harlem Orchestra, The Latin Grammys, The Gubernatorial Inauguration, ESPN commentator for World Salsa Championships, Town Hall, Madison Square Garden, and Carnegie Hall are a few of the many experiences I would brag about. Seriously though, meeting my wife in the salsa scene (you had to see that coming) and starting a family is the one experience that has topped all the others. There goes that violin again.
After commentating for ESPN for 3 years and completing a 2 year acting / voice conservatory I began booking small commercials, independent movies, and edgy contemporary plays (yes paid work). The problem was that it was too few and far between with many failed production which led to mucho (that's spanish) frustration. What actor isn't frustrated? Frustrated or not if you want something done you have to do it yourself or win the lotto. So being that I haven't won the lotto yet I bought not 1 but 2 cameras. 1 for video and the other for photography and slept with them both day and night. Please don't tell my wife.
As of today I am a Youtube partner (revenue sharing) with over 30 comedic videos that I have written, edited and acted in. I have worked with pretty amazing people so please check out the videos on the make me laugh Jai page. In addition I have photographed some pretty cool working actors and dancers that you might have seen on TV so check them out as well.
