PX This, the controversial yet dramatically funny web series of what happens in the elite restaurant industry will begin October 2012 at a web connection near you. Oh and did I mention this amazingly humorous story, which I am happy to say I am a part of, is based on truth. Who's truth you ask? Well, the one and only Abbe Diaz who wrote the book PX This Diary of the "Maitre d' to the Stars".
If you like funny... if you like drama... if you like great acting then you are going to want to see PX This coming this October. Now that might seem like a long time from now and you are right it is but I am super excited to announce that you can get a glimpse of what I am talking about from the cool trailer below.

Until Tomorrow,

Jai

Portrait Inspiration is off to a wonderful start. In fact it has made me realize I should have gone this direction quite a long time ago. Now I know there must be a lingering question in people's minds. What happened to Jai and his blog? Well it's still here. However, I have decided to keep my personal blog what it is. Personal. I like talking about my things in my life without the worry of staying focused on a topic.
That being said I will continue to grow with Portrait Inspiration. Already I have had several inquiries about photographers wanting to be featured along with requests for written blog posts to add to the tips section. My goal is to keep moving the inspirational factor forward to the many talented photographers and lovers of portrait photography who I have met over the years. Once it's on its road I will start delegating some of the tasks of running a blog/website.

As for now Jai Catalano is alive and well and shooting all the time. I even set this self portrait family photo shoot up for my children's daycare. I had a good friend click the button as the crazy Catalano's did their thing. Luckily we found a nice centered moment and my friend took the shot. Let me know what you think.

Portrait Inspiration lifts off. Today I was delighted to post a photo session I did with Aisha Koswara who is as multi talented as she is beautiful. I personally felt it was apropos to first feature a photo session that I did, although I am looking to feature other talented photographers and not myself. So that being said I am reaching out to you for a little help as Portrait Inspiration goes from crawling to one day flying.
In case you didn't read my Welcome To Portrait Inspiration post, I suggest you check it out to see if you like and believe in the direction the site will go in. Any feedback is appreciated. In a nutshell, I am creating a safe haven community to educate, support and inspire the portrait photographer as well as those that love the art form.

If you love portrait photography (or know someone who does) and you equally love to inspire and be inspired than maybe you would like to give a helping hand to a website in its infancy.

I am looking to build connections with other photographers who you personally know. For example, you might have a best friend or family member who is a novice or professional and would like to be featured on Portrait Inspiration to continue to promote their brand. If so, I would love to hear from them to possibly feature them.

In addition, if he or she likes to write I would like to feature guest bloggers who know about photography and can contribute to spread the goal for Portrait Inspiration

Anyway, I am super proud that the site has lifted off. As of today PI has 90 Facebook likes and 1 submitted session for next weeks feature.

If you are interested in being a part of this amazing community and the journey I have begun please click the icons below.

My new website, Portrait Inspiration, has launched today after months of finding the right content management system. Settling, building and creating it was a long and emotional journey. However, through the enlightening successes and heartbreaking failures of building it I am proud to begin this journey with all of the portrait photographers in the beautiful world of photography.
What is Portrait Inspiration?

Portrait Inspiration is a safe haven blog for anybody who loves portrait photography. It was created to educate, support and inspire those that love or admire the art form. Wether you are a novice or a professional, everyone needs some inspiration in their life.

So that being said, I would love for you to check out Portrait Inspiration and view my very first post called Welcome To Portrait Inspiration. Please send me your thoughts and comments as I would love to hear from you.

Enjoy watch the series below and please share your thoughts.

Today I will start my Asylum before and after transformation. That is right. After 2 months off from my successful Insanity before and after transformation I have finally decided to take the physical plunge and try out Asylum. Actually, from what I have read and seen, I don't think one tries out Asylum. I think you either fail miserably at it or you pass out while trying to peal yourself off of the floor.
Whatever the case might be I will start a mini blog which will attach to this site for the next 30 days. I will post pictures and updates daily and like always I look forward to your comments or questions.

So let's get down to business. The above photo was taken earlier this morning BEFORE starting Asylum. In addition I haven't worked out in 2 days AND this passed weekend I wasn't overly concerned with eating like a rabbit. :)

My starting weight is 170lbs.

Below are 5 goals I want to achieve going in to this new workout.

Goals
1. Get stronger
2. Look leaner
3. 6 pack abs
4. More definition
5. Lose 5lbs

In case you didn't see the Insanity before and after transformation please check it out below.

I flew out to Los Angeles to act in a new web series, Sound Advice with Teddy Garces, 2 weeks before my daughter was born. That was 1 year, 4 months and 27 days ago when I sat on the set of the psychiatric couch of Theodore W. Evington III to get some really good Sound Advice. After a really long and intensely fun weekend we called cut and waited for the project to be complete. In case you forgot that was 513 days ago.
However, I am super proud to announce that Sound Advice Episode 1 will begin airing at a world wide web near you on August 1st, 2012. This project is extremely funny with a whole lot of rude, obnoxious, judgmental, indignant, intolerable GENIUS.

Please check out the website and trailer below.

Until Tomorrow,

Jai

In case you need a little reminder, PX This is the series that I booked a few weeks ago. It's a show based on the book PX This - Diary of the "Maitre d' to the Stars" by the talented Abbe Diaz. Late last night or should I say very early this morning (1 am) we started shooting one of my juice fun scenes at a posh restaurant in NYC.

Shhhh... I think I have said too much.

I really wish I could tell you all about the drama, humor, betrayal, deceit and scandal that is going on behind the hot and sexy kitchen... but I can't. However, I will tell you that my character is fun fun fun fun fun and JUICY with a capital J.

Shhhh... Ok now I really think I have said too much but that is what happens when you get home at 6 am from an all night shoot after being up all day with 2 kids. :)

Ok 1 last thing but that is it.

I spoke to Abbe in between takes and she told me we are on point for a September 1st completion of PX This which very possible will coincide with her new book.

Shhh... Ok now I have spilled way too many of the "baked beans." :)

Until tomorrow,

Jai

Check out the PX This trailer below.

Thank God that I completed my Insanity before and after transformation because lately each and every single one of my photography clients have been the lean mean Linda Hamilton Terminator type... All I have to say is luckily for me they don't want to put me or the world on high alert nor do they want to kill me. And of course Arnold won't be on the other side of the camera saying "I'll be back!" :)
Today I am proud to showcase Suzy who I have worked with several times now. She has become a good friend and oh I almost forgot... she is an amazing professional fitness trainer. How do I know? Well, aside from the fact she is in great shape. Suzy has been in the business for a very successfully long time.

Below are a few of the shots that we both fell in love with along with the feature image that is a doll type before and after photoshop transformation.

I would love to hear what you think.

Enjoy.

Until Tomorrow,

Jai
